UN And The African Renaissance And Diaspora Network-ARDN
The GNS Foundation proudly accepted an invitation from the United Nation’s ARDN for their first “Women of the Diaspora 2020 (Gender and Race Discrimination) Summit” marking the 75th United Nations General Assembly.
This was a Global Event Featuring Government Officials from Three Continents; Leaders in Business, Entertainment, Sports, Education and the Media; International Experts on Economic Equity and Women Issues; and Officials from United Nations Agencies.
This 2020 Women of the Diaspora Summit was an international discussion based on Gender Equality and Race Discrimination. It was co-organized by the Republic of Costa Rica, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the African Renaissance and Diaspora Network (ARDN) held on September 2020 the Friday preceding the High-Level Debate of the 75th United Nations General Assembly.
Miss Gibeleen Nimpong (Executive Director) who represented the GNS Foundation emphasized on the need to push the agenda of “Gender and Race Discrimination” in this era. “This is probably one of the most important ongoing discussions in today’s world which aligns perfectly with the Foundation’s goals”, she stated.
The Foundation has already accepted another invitation from the United Nation’s ARDN for their second “Women of the Diaspora 2021 Summit” in February 2021.
