The Osu Children’s Home in Ghana had its origin from the ” Society for Childcare” which operated in Kaneshie, a suburb of Accra.

The Osu Children’s Home VISION is to fully integrate all children admitted to the home back into the mainstream of society.

The home provides to the children in the home extensive appropriate skilled trained personal to: help them come to terms with there sometimes direr previous backgrounds and to help them to develop a positive approach towards their future endeavors.

Currently, there are approximately 200 children in the home age new born to 23 years old. The numbers fluctuate since some children are reunited with families, others are adopted, whilst still other are provide with a foster home and family to live with.

How are they funded?

Government funding is scarce and cannot meet the overgrowing population. The Home relies heavily on donations from public spirited individuals, organizations and the general public since the government cannot do it all.

Donations that they are seeking:

Food items, Toys, games, puzzles, recreational books, stationary, sports equipment, teaching materials and supplies, as well as, writing supplies for children.

Giving is not about making a donation, its making a difference in the lives of many. That was why on 26th December 2014, G.N.S Foundation took the mantle of “charity” to Osu childrens home.

After thorough search on what they need and what can do to help sustain the smooth operation of the Childrens home, G.N.S Foundation with help of our volunteer team made a donation comprising of different donatable items to the Osu Childrens Home.

They were so happy having us, we really enjoyed the moment we shared with them, it was really fun. G.N.S Foundation did this as a way of extending love and concern towards dear brothers and sisters who really need help in society.

We really hope to continue extending this sort of love to society and to affect change in society.We cant do this alone,we need volunteers and donors who while help us achieve this societal goals.
